He is a world-leading expert on insider trading and the author of two books along with dozens of publications in journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Business, and the Journal of Finance. His work on executive-options backdating in 2006 helped uncover one of the biggest insider trading scandals in recent time. Nejat has testified as an expert witness in several high profile insider trading-related class action lawsuits. He currently teaches MBA level options, corporate finance, valuation and investment courses at the Ross School of Business.
